Various aerial prototypes were used and are currently under development in the FALCOS Autonomous Aerial Vehicle research program. Ranging from adapted standard radio controlled airplanes (such as the Piper model) to dedicated designed airframes (Falcos Douro).

Adpated RC models with embedded processing, navigation and control

A custom airframe was designed specifically for autonomous aerial flight.

This airframe was produced in part by laser synthering, and has a bimotor propulsion configuration in order to realease the airacft nose for sensor payload purposes.

Custom developed airframes (left - standard wood construction, right - composit custom design)

These multiple airframes have been used to developed and test both control, navigation, embedded processing and image processing.
