24/11/2006 - First general assembly of the "Sociedade Portuguesa de Robótica" in Coimbra. The next general assembly will take place in 23-02-2007 in Aveiro.

The "Sociedade Portuguesa de Robótica" was created by public scripture on the 28th of April of 2006 like an association without profitable ends which principal objective is it of promoting and stimulating the teaching, the scientific investigation, the technological development and the applications (industry and services) in the area of the robótica. These objectives will be got through several actions, which include, between others: The National Festival of Robótica, regular publications, seminars and meetings.

At present, the Society is under the co-ordination of a commission instaladora with a president and 10 secretaries even to the realization of the first annual general meeting. The electoral calendar is in preparation and it will be presented shortly.
